Rebecca Earnestine Tipton Chaney, age 71, of Wallace Court in Irvine passed away February 18, 2015, at Central Baptist Hospital following a short illness. She was born February 24, 1943 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Theodore R. Tipton and Helen Rogers Tipton. She was a retired seamstress with Carhartts and Powell Manufacturing. She was a member of the Irvine United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Earlene Tipton and Margaret Tipton Vincent. Survivors include her daughter Rhonda Chaney Scott and her children, Joshua, Jacob and Emily of Winchester, KY; her son Raymond Chaney of Irvine, KY; her daughter Robin Chaney Farmer and children, Samantha, Matthew and Christopher of Stanton, KY; her sister Faye Tipton of Irvine, KY; her brother James Tipton of Winchester, KY; her brother Wendell Tipton and wife Connie of McKee, KY. She is also survived by several wonderful nieces, nephews and their children as well. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday February 22nd, 2015 at 2:00pm at Lewis Funeral Home in Irvine, KY with Reverend Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery in Irvine.
