Rev. Paul Arvin, 81, husband of Anna Lois Smith Arvin, passed away Saturday, April 5th, 2014 at the Marcum Wallace Hospital. Mr. Arvin was a lifelong resident of Estill County, and had been the pastor at South Irvine Pentecostal Church of God for fifty-two years. He was a son of the late Nathaniel T. and Bertha Mae Richardson Arvin. He was preceded in death by his daughter Charlene Arvin; his grand-daughter Alisha Arvin; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his sons Gary W. (and wife Becky) Arvin, Paul "Bird" (and wife Monica); his daughters Phyllis (and her late husband Eck) Rawlins, Lois (and husband Randall) Harrison, Wanda (and husband Steve) Elliott, Elaine Duncan, and Brenda (and husband Bill) Aldridge; his brother Beverly Arvin; his sister Alice Lynch; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held Wednesday, April 9th, 2:00 pm at the South Irvine Pentecostal Church of God with Bros' Todd Hignite, Jack Carpenter, Jerry Rose, Junior Mays, Beverly Arvin and Kenneth Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the South Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Tuesday at the South Irvine Pentecostal Church of God. Lewis Funeral Home handling arrangements. Pallbearers will be Brandon Aldridge, Chad Aldridge, Caleb Aldridge, Caden Arvin, Steve Elliott, Colby Arvin, Hayden Rawlins, Eddie Crawley, and Chris Bowling.. Service: 2:00 PM Wed.
