Rita Lynn Powell, age 78, of Waco, Kentucky departed this life on June 27, 2025, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on January 4, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Richard Neal and Marita Reeder Knox McIntosh.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Breck Powell, 3 stepbrothers, Gary, Ricky and Dwight McIntosh. 1 granddaughter, Bobbie Jones. 1 son-in-law, Jim Bradley and 2 great granddaughters, Peighton Duffy and Bailey Friend.

Survivors include her daughter, Candi Lynn Alcorn and husband Billy, a son, Nolan Clay Jones Jr. and wife Melanie. 4 stepchildren, Johnny Powell, Breck Powell Jr., and wife Vickie, Kathy Bradley, and Patsy Barnes and husband Jeff. 1 sister, Laura K. Evans and 1 brother, Walter Daniel Knox and wife Dreama. 3 stepbrothers, Larry G., Bradley C., and Thomas McIntosh Jr. 11 grandchildren, Michael Duffy, Lynn Duffy, Caleb Aldridge and wife Kaitlyn, Ayla Normand and husband Michael, Pamela Davidson and husband Jim, Sarah Duffy, Ashley Sparks, Ashley Henderson, Tracy Harrison, Melissa Kelley and husband G.B., Sarah Barnes, Lucas Barnes, and Jaylen Powell. 23 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Oliver, Austin, Haven, Skyren, Easten, Eli, Jacob, Jordan, Silas, Jlena, Amadee, Mabel, Harper, Blake, Austin, Logan, Lillyan,Brooklyn, Kyrsten, and William, Angel, and Camrin. 2 great great grandchildren, Felicity and Lucia. As well as numerous nieces and nephews to miss her and mourn her passing.

A celebration of Life service for Rita Lynn Powell will be conducted on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Family and friends will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A cremation is planned afterwards.
