Robert Wayne Johnson, age 80, of Lexington, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Saint Joseph Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Robert was born on October 10, 1942, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Luther and Bertha Bogie Johnson. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Johnson Gear, and three brothers, Kenneth, Quinten, and Ben Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife of over 59 years, Thelma Cole Johnson, one son, Rick Johnson and wife Kim, two grandchildren, Chris Johnson and Ashley, and Shaina Estep and Eric. Two great grandchildren, Kacen Johnson and Emree Estep. Along with two sisters, Sue McIntosh and Roy and Eula Conrad and Lonnie. Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Robert Wayne Johnson will be conducted on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Glendyn Woosley will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Woods Cemetery in Irvine, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of services at Lewis Home for Funerals.

The Pallbearers will be, Frankie Estes, Junior McIntosh, Bobby Bogie, Eric Estep, Lee Emmitt, and Richard Langfels.
