Roger Dale Goosey, 59, of Irvine, passed away Tuesday at the Stanton Nursing Center after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosebert and Edith Powell Goosey; and a sister, Judy Henry. He is survived by his son, Matthew (Brittany) Goosey; daughter, Leslie Carol Goosey; brother, Paul (Marilyn) Goosey; sister, Virginia (Joseph) Rose; grandsons, Clarence Walker and James Goosey; nephews, Anthony (Laneve) Rose, Barry Rose, Bobby (Charolette) Willis; nieces, Loretta (Junior) Watson, Olivia (Jeff) Knuckles, Sara (Pavel) Goosey, and Jennifer (Dwight) Durbin; and many great nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Thursday, May 12th, at the Lewis Funeral home with Brother Jason Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at the Kindred Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until service time. Pallbearers will be Joseph Rose, Anthony Rose, Barry Rose, Paul Goosey, Dwight Durbin, and Carter Durbin, Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Durbin, Jeremiah Knuckles, and Walker Goosey.
