Roy M. Webb Jr., 84 husband of Nellie Winkler Webb, passed away Sunday at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, after a long illness. Mr. Webb was born May 25th, 1930, a son of the late Roy M. Webb Sr, and the late Lucille Turpin Webb. He lived in Estill County most of his life. Mr. Webb retired as a heavy equipment operator for the State Highway Department. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, a member of the Irvine Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Irvine York Rite, the Irvine Council, and the Irvine Commandery. He was preceded in death by his grandsons Daniel Webb, and Kenneth Todd Webb; and by his sister Wanda Webb Barnes. In addition to Nellie Winkler Webb, his wife of 66 years, he is also survived by his stepmother Alice Thomas Webb; his three sons Kenneth (and wife Ruby) Webb, Donnie (and wife Joyce) Webb, Lonnie (and wife Marsha) Webb; his siblings Billy (and wife Penny) Webb, JoAnn (and husband Doug) Thomas, Carol (and husband Richard) Dennis, Rhonda (and husband Gene) Rawlins; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren also survive, as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 17th, 2:00 pm at the Providence Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Meece and Bro. Bill Vanwinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Turpin Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Wednesday, July 16th, at Providence Baptist. Lewis Funeral Home has been trusted with the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Donnie Marshall Webb, Floyd Webb, Jason Bach, James Bruso, Jason Rawlins, Mike Barnes, Steven Reed, Tyler Beebe, and Timothy Thomas. Honorary pallbearer will be Jayden Todd Buttry.
