Samuel Dwayne "Slim" Gollihue, age 45, of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, June 13, 2025, suddenly at his home.

Born June 28, 1979, in Irvine, Kentucky, Samuel was the son of Samuel Jr. Tipton and Carolyn Sue Romans. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by 1 brother, Samuel Glen Tipton.

Dwayne loved playing music, spending time with family and friends, and loved his tattoos.

Survivors include 5 sisters, Terri Tipton of West Liberty, Ky., Lynn Gollihue of Stanton, Ky., Debra and husband Robert Kelly of Irvine, Ky., Tabitha Strange and husband Eugene of Irvine, Ky., and Tina Rogers of Irvine, Ky. 1 brother, James Paul Tipton of Irvine, Ky. 1 aunt, Sonya Hobbs and Anthony Osborne of Clay City, Ky. Numerous nieces and nephews including, Sha and Josh Ross of West Liberty, Ky., Mark Hinds and Kalena Livingston of Stanton, Ky., Heather and Bobby Miller of Clay City, Ky., Whitney Harvey of Irvine, Ky., Eugene Strange and Alicia Strange both of Irvine, Ky., Donnie Jones of Irvine, Ky., James and Jason Jones of Irvine, Ky., Makayla, Samantha, and Ethan Tipton all of New York. Several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Samuel Dwayne "Slim" Gollihue will be conducted on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Mark Adams will be officiating. The family will receive friends from Noon until the time of services. The family has chosen cremation afterwards.

The Pallbearers will be Mark Hinds, Jeff Mason, Eugene Strange, Jr Harrison, Johnathan Harrison, Ricky Lutes, Anthony Osborne, Mark Hinds 1st, and Donnie Jones.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Lewis Funeral Home.
