Sandra Kay Parsons Cox, 66, wife of Darrel Cox, passed away Friday at the Marcum Wallace Hospital in Irvine. Mrs. Cox was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Leonard and Ruby Sparks Parsons. She was a homemaker that enjoyed animals, flowers, birds, mushroom hunting. She was a homebody that enjoyed the simple things in life, her family, and her animal companions PJ and Coconut. She was preceded in death by her brother James Daniel Parsons. Survivors other than her husband Darrell include her daughters Tammy (Randy) Tipton, Trina (Scott) Reffett, and Kristy (Tim) Means; her grandsons Christopher Tipton, Stephen (Kelsey) Conrad, Casey Tipton, Cody Means, Tyler Conrad, and Caleb Means; her great grandchildren Aaliyah Nichole Tipton, Camden Shawn Tipton, Catarina Marie Hurt,and Madyson Rayne Conrad. There will be a gathering of friends Tuesday, from 4-7 pm at Lewis Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service beginning at 7 pm. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
