Shelton Powell, age 57, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky. He was born on Monday, December 23, 1968, to the late Jesse Powell Sr. and Beulah Powell. He was a member at Panola Baptist in Waco, Ky.

Shelton was a loving father and grandfather who cared deeply for his family. His presence will be greatly missed by his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The memories he leaves behind will be cherished by his family for years to come.

He is survived by his two daughters, Daniella (Marcus) Molands and Aimee (Justin) Hollon; and two grandchildren, Annabella Molands and Weston Molands.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home of Irvine. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., immediately following visitation. Private burial at a later date.

Justin Hollon, Stevie Dixon, Randall Carroll, Steve Walters, Malcolm Eversole, and Charles Richardson will serve as active pallbearers.
