Sherryl Chaney,67 wife of Jerry Chaney, passed away Sunday, at Baptist Health in Lexington. Mrs. Chaney was native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Charlie Hampton Williams and Nellie Gross Williams. She was a former employee of the Waco Bank, and a member of the Irvine Free Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jack and Roy Williams. Survivors, other than her husband of 50 years Jerry, include her daughter Missy (and huband Tim) Burkhart; her son Shawn (and wife Laura) Chaney; her grandchildren Ryann Chaney, Casey Chaney, and Will Burkhart; her sisters Katherine Wheat, and Margaret Camic; several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 pm at the Lewis Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Carlisle and Bro. Terry Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Paul Chaney, Steve Chaney, Chris Chaney, Billy Paul Chaney, Doug Dooley, Joe Wheat, jack Wheat. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Parsons, Larry Bellamy, Wayne Wise, Carl Rhodes.
