Irvine: Shirley Joe Cole, 69, husband of LouElla Philpot Cole passed away Saturday, March 2nd, at the UKMC, after a short illness. He was a native of Estill County, and former police officer. He was a son of the late Raymond and Tilda Townsend Cole. He was a member of the Fitchburg Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his children April Jo Cole, Karen Denise Cole, and Shirley Joe Cole Jr.; his brothers Marcus, Hargis, Raymond Jr., and Victor Cole; his sister Ruby Hall; and his first wife Helen Marie Blackwell Cole. Survivors other than his wife LouElla include his daughters Treva Cole (Lloyd) Macy, Patricia Cole Kay Centers, Ella Sue (Ron) Taylor, Tammy (David) Rose, Trish (Tim) Mays; his sons Billy and Bobby Fore; his sisters Dorothy (Jack) Howell; his grandchildren Chad Centers, Lloyd Allen Macy II, Kara Marie Gail Centers, Michelle Gooch, Kayla Davis, Ashley Thomason, Matthew Rose, Megan Shepard, Britni Liske, Dustin Fore, Brandy Fore, Billy Fore jr., Crystal Carr, and Rachel Fore; his great-grandchildren Madison Robbins, Christian Robbins, Brandon Robbins and Steven Mason Davis. Services will be held Thursday, March 7th, 2:00 PM at Lewis Funeral Home with Vester Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery.
