Spicy Margaret Clowers, age 98, of Red Lick Rd., Irvine, KY. Widow of the late Thomas Welston Clowers, was escorted by the angels of heaven into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

She died peacefully at the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a 14 month stay. Margaret was born in Red Lick on March 13, 1924, to the late Ambrose and Mary Lucy Collins Cox.

Retired from the school system in Hamilton, OH. Mrs. Clowers returned to Red Lick to rejoin her sisters on the family farm in 1986. Unable to have children of her own, Margret invested herself in the children of the Station Camp Christian Church where she was a steadfast and faithful member her entire life. Known for her keen intellect, witty humor, and exceptional memory, Mrs. Clowers was generally considered the source of authority for dates and times of key events in the life of the church, she also served as church treasurer for many years.

Mrs. Clowers is preceded in death by her parents: Ambrose and Lucy Cox; her husband Thomas Welston Clowers; and her sisters Lena Jane Cox and Mollie Sue Babb.

Margaret is survived by her niece: Mrs. Rhonda Lisle and husband Beatle.

Funeral services for Spicy Margaret Clowers will be conducted on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11: 00 AM in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals with Brother Scott Beauchamp officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services from 10 AM to 11 AM at Lewis Home for Funerals.
