Suda Mae Sparks, age 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Sparks and Affie Sparks.

Suda was a loving mother with a kind and gentle heart. She will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the love she shared with those around her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethelene Henery and Hazel Sparks; and one brother, R.J. Sparks.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Charles (Misty) Clark of Irvine, Kentucky; five brothers, Raymond Sparks, Arnold Sparks, Charlie Sparks, Donald Sparks and Sammy Sparks; one sister, Dorothy Faye Rose, all of Estill County; one niece, Jerzee Begley; and four nephews, Austin Rose, Christian Gearld, Tyson Beagley, and Hunter Beagley.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until the time of service at Lewis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Russel Flats cemetery in Jackson, County.
