Thada Rogers, of Richmond, Kentucky formerly of Jackson, Kentucky in Breathitt County, departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Richmond.

Miss Rogers was born on March 7, 1967, in Lexington, Kentucky to Hargus Rogers and the late Tincie Worrell Rogers. She was the granddaughter of Shirley and Pauline Watson Rogers and Thaddeus and Minnie Richardson Worrell.

Along with her father, Thada is survived by one sister, Marilyn Rogers of Richmond, Kentucky and a brother, Johnathan Rogers of Richmond, Kentucky along with a host of other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.

Thada attended Breathitt County High School where she excelled in all academics. She was an active member in band, student council, and the French club. She served as drum major and played clarinet in the band. Thada won the John Sousa award twice. Thada was chosen in the first group of Governor Scholars, and she attended the Centre College program. She was a former member of Jackson Christian Church where she was very active in many church activities.

Funeral services for Thada Rogers will be conducted on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Jim Hall will be officiating. Internment will follow in the Cobb Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be, Johnathan Rogers, Terry Rogers and Jackie Rogers, Rick Molands, Jack Strong, and Darrell Watts. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jack Fugate, Brother Gainus Rogers, Dr. Owen Collins, and Brother Bill Welker.
