Thomas Lee Alcorn, 85, widower of Cynthia Mae Sparks Alcorn passed away Saturday in his home. He was a native of Estill County, a son of the late Hume and Maude Wells Alcorn. He was loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a gentle man who never said or did anything to hurt anyone. He delighted in serving the Lord. He worked at a sawmill for over forty years, and his expertise was sought after by many, far and wide. Other than his wife of 61 years Cynthia Sparks Alcorn, he was preceded in death by a son Thomas W. Alcorn; his brothers Howard and Hume Jr.; his sisters Cornelia Hale, Delma Fox, and Mary Sparks.
Survivors include his son William Alcorn; his daughters Wilma Alcorn, Donna Alcorn, Sue (Art) Watkins, and Debora Fields; his daughter-in-law Debbie M. Alcorn; his sisters Mildred Kelly, and Juanita Middleton; his brothers Jim Alcorn, Ray Alcorn, Garry Alcorn; his grandchildren Carolyn (Thomas) Boyken, Crystal (Aleksandr) Sieger, and Douglas Fields; five great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 at Lewis-Abner with Bro. Delvin Reece officiating. Burial will follow in the Congleton Cemetery. Friends my call from 5-8 pm Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Boyken, Gary Boyken, Blake Townsend, Douglas Fields, Aleksandr Sieger, and Garrett Costantino.
