Troy Estes, 80, of Troy Estes Road, Beattyville, passed away Friday at his home. Mr. Estes was a native of Lee county, born September 9th, 1931. He was a son of the late Clayton and Lillie Mae Gross Estes. Mr. Estes was a retired employee of the South East Coal Company. He was a member of the Proctor 213 Blue Lodge, the Oleika Temple, and a 32nd Degree Mason. Mr. Estes was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Estes; his brother Sherman; his sisters Thelma Rogers, Roxie Larison, Dixie Patton, and Mossie Griffin. Survivors include his wife Barbara; his sons Alfred, Troy Jr., James, and Tim; his daughters Linda Chaney, and Victoria Moore; his sister Gracie Fife; eighteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 PM at Lewis Funeral Home, with Bro. Delvin Reece officiating. Burial will follow in the Horn Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 PM Tuesday. Masonic services will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Derek Collins,Chris, CJ, Dustin, Scotty, and Caleb Estes.
