Virginia "Jenny" Rawlins Wiseman, 67, of Irvine, passed away Sunday at the Compassionate Care Center, after a long illness. Mrs. Wiseman was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Edgar and Haley Ann Dawes Rawlins. She was retired employee of Wal-Mart. Jenny loved the Lord, and was a member of the Irvine First Church of God, where she'd been a Sunday School Teacher for over thirty years. Jenny's family was her world. She enjoyed cooking and her cat "Thunder". Jenny had been the recipient of a kidney transplant in 1984, making her one of the longest living recipients. She was preceded in death by her brothers Edgar Rawlins Jr. and Terry Rawlins; a nephew Jackson Lee Patrick; and a brother in law Roger Milby.
Survivors include her son Randall Lee (and companion Trina Dixon) Wiseman; her grandchildren Stacy Winkler, D.J. Strange, and Alex Dixon; her sisters Shirley Lynn Milby and Kathleen Rawlins; her sister-in-law Phyllis Rawlins; her great-grandchildren Chloe and Conner.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 at the Irvine First Church of God, with Bro. Glenn Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 PM Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Home, and from 11:00 AM until 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Church.
Pallbearers will be Richard Kinlaw, Stacy Winkler, Glen Rawlins,Johnnie, Ryan and Alex Patrick.
Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Patrick.
