William, Herbert "Herbie" Mays, 51, father of Laura Whitney Mays, passed away Friday, at his home. Mr. Mays was a native of Estill County, a son of Ica Caldwell Mays and the late Herbert Mays. Survivors include his daughter, Laura Whitney Mays; his mother Ica Caldwell Mays; his sisters Dana Mays Brady and Lana Mays Horn (and husband Mike Horn); his niece Leah Michelle Brady Winkle (and husband James "Jamie" Glenn Winkle); his nephew James Michael Horn; two great nieces Abby Lynn Winkle and Emma Kate Winkle. Services will be held Sunday at 1:00 PM, Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Burford officiating. Burial will follow in the Caldwell Cemetery at Patsy. Friends may call after 6:00 PM Saturday.
